Documents ยท Project pack

A job's documents, in one PDF

Attach the project's PDFs, put them in order and download one file with a cover with your company, a contents page whose rows jump to each document, and a number on every page. The files stay in this browser with the project; the merge happens here, nothing is uploaded, and the pack is a download you decide to share.

Your company on the documents

Shown on every document you make here, and on the specification sheet and the schedule report: one set of details for all of them. Saved in this browser.

How it works

Choose the project. Its documents are listed: open a budget or a survey sheet, print it with Save as PDF, and attach that PDF here; add the supplier's data sheets, the drawings or anything else that belongs to the job. Put the files in the order the client should read them, and Make the pack: one PDF with the cover, the contents and the files, each page with its number.

The page numbers

The cover is page 1 and carries no number; every other page shows its number and the total, at the bottom of the page as it is seen, also on pages turned sideways. The contents give the same number a PDF viewer shows in its page box, and each row is a link to its document; the bookmarks in the file say the same. The number goes in the centre by default, so it does not cover a drawing's title block in the corner.

What it does not do

A PDF protected with a password or permissions cannot be merged: save an unprotected copy and attach that. A damaged PDF is refused with its name. Pages are copied as they are, never redrawn, so text stays text; form fields to fill in may stop being fillable in the pack.

Where the files are

In this browser, with the project: exporting the project takes them along, and deleting the project deletes them. The pack itself is not stored: it is made when you ask, in this browser, and handed to you as a download. Nothing is uploaded or published.

What is free

Packs of up to 10 files per project, with the cover, the contents and the numbers. The free version puts a small "Prepared with SyntaxFlow" line on the cover; Pro removes it and lifts the limit.
