My data
Your data, in this browser and in a file you keep
There is no account: what you make here stays in this browser. This page shows what is stored, makes one backup file with all of it, puts it back on this or another device, recovers Pro with your purchase email and deletes everything when you want. Nothing is uploaded.
Everything you make here lives only in this browser. A backup now and then, kept somewhere other than this device (a USB stick, your email, a cloud folder), is the only copy that survives a cleared browser or a lost phone.
What is stored in this browser
- Counting…
Item by item
Browsers clear a site's data on their own when the device runs short of space; a site they have agreed to keep is left alone.
Make a backup
One file with everything above: projects, documents, photos as they were taken, saved jobs, your library and your settings. Free, always: your work is never held back behind Pro.
The photos keep their location data, as on your phone, so keep the file to yourself. Pro is not in the file: on another device, recover it below.
Restore a backup
Open a backup made here or on another device. It is checked first, and nothing changes until you choose how to restore it.
Pro on this device
Delete everything on this device
Removes every project, document, photo, saved job and setting this site keeps in this browser. Your answer to the cookie notice stays, so a no keeps meaning no. Make a backup first if you may want any of it.
Why there is no account
Nothing you make here is sent to a server: there is nothing to log into, and nothing of yours on our side to leak, sell or lose. The other side of that promise is that this browser is the only place your work lives. That is what this page is for: to show what is kept, and to give you a file you own.
What the backup file holds
A .sfbackup file is a ZIP: a manifest with the date, what it holds and a SHA-256 checksum of every part, the data of every project, document, library item and saved job, and each photo or attachment as it was. Opening one, the page checks it as if it came from a stranger: the size, the format and its version, every checksum, and every photo against its first bytes. A damaged or altered file is refused and nothing is changed.
Moving to a new phone or computer
Make a backup here, send the file to yourself, open this page on the other device and restore it. Add to what is here keeps everything on both sides: what is identical is not duplicated, and a project changed on both devices comes in as a copy, so nothing is overwritten. Replace what is here makes the other device an exact copy of this one, after showing you what it deletes. An issued document is never rewritten by either.
What is never in it
Your answer to the cookie notice, the counters the site keeps for its notices, and Pro. A file anyone can edit cannot carry a purchase, so on a new device Pro is recovered with the email you paid with and the last four digits of the card, checked with Stripe.
