A budget, on paper as it will print

Write the lines on the left and the budget builds itself on the right, on the page exactly as it will print. Taxes are only the ones you add; costs and margins stay in an internal view that never prints for the client; an issued budget is frozen and changes go to a revision you can compare. It is saved in this browser: nothing is uploaded.

Your company on the documents

Shown on every document you make here, and on the specification sheet and the schedule report: one set of details for all of them. Saved in this browser.

How the total is worked out

Each line is quantity × price, rounded to the cent; a line discount comes off that amount. The subtotal adds the lines that count. A discount on the whole budget is shared between the tax rates, in proportion, before each tax is worked out, so no cent is lost or invented. A line with no quantity or no price is shown and flagged, and left out of the total: it is never counted as zero. Optional lines and the options not chosen are printed but not added.

Issued means frozen

While it is a draft, the budget saves itself as you type. Once issued it cannot be changed; a change becomes revision 2, 3… and each revision can be compared with the one before, line by line, with what the total moved.

Measuring first?

The window and glass survey sheet takes the measures on site and sends the glass here as lines in square metres, ready for your price. Any calculator does the same with its result.

What is free

Budgets of up to 20 lines, with your logo and company details, printed or saved as PDF from the browser. The free version prints a small "Prepared with SyntaxFlow" line at the foot; Pro removes it, lifts the line limit and adds your library of materials and services, alternative options for the client to choose from, and the history of every revision.
