Edge banding calculator
Edge tape = for each part, the banded long edges × length + the banded short edges × width, times the quantity, plus an allowance per edge for the overhang the trimmer takes off. The example below, the doors, drawer fronts and carcass parts of a kitchen run, needs 30.20 m of edge, 32.24 m with 30 mm per edge.

Cutting the parts too? The panel cutting optimizer lays them out on the fewest sheets, with the grain.
Everything runs in your browser; your list is kept in this browser only.
How this is calculated
per part = qty × (long edges × length + short edges × width)
allowance = qty × (long edges + short edges) × allowance per edge
rolls = ⌈ total / roll length ⌉
What this page does not do
- One tape at a time. Different thicknesses or colours: run them as separate lists.
- No machine set-up waste. Add it to the allowance if your edgebander loses tape at the start of each run.
