What you take away
- Every date in the document proposed with the excerpt of text it comes from.
- Doubtful ones apart, such as “03/04”, for you to pick the right reading.
- Days off as reminders on their date, with no invented times, in Today and the week.
- An ICS file with the confirmed events, to import into your calendar.
- A printable view for the fridge.
What it does not do
- A scanned PDF, which is an image, and photos are not read automatically yet: you see the document and type the dates.
- It does not sync with your calendar: the ICS file is a copy. If you change something here, export it again.
- Complicated tables can come out jumbled: that is why every date is reviewed before it is saved.
- It does not create endless repeating events: a recurrence needs an end date or a number of times.
Your messages stay in this browser
What you paste or upload, and the planner made from it, is kept in this browser's storage, on this device. Nothing is uploaded to a server and no account is needed.
A nickname is enough for a child: no date of birth, photo or school is needed. It is not a backup: export what matters to you.
Usage figures count actions, such as “event confirmed”, never the text of your messages.
Questions people ask
Does it read scanned PDFs?
Not yet. A scanned PDF is an image with no text: you see the document and type the dates by hand. PDFs with text, such as those made on a computer, are read.
Does it sync with Google Calendar?
There is no connection to your account. You download an ICS file with the confirmed events, and most calendars, such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, let you import it. It is a copy: it does not update itself.
What about days off and holidays?
They are proposed as a reminder on the date the document gives (for a holiday, its first day), with no time, and appear in Today, the week and the printable view. The ICS file carries events only: to have that day in your calendar, add it in the planner as an event with no time, which counts as all day.
Can I upload several pages?
Yes, up to 50 pages and 15 MB per file.
